Hisense 75-Inch QLED 4K Smart TV (75Q6N) – My Hands-On Review
Since using the Hisense 75Q6N for a few months now, I have to mention that the 75-inch QLED 4K Smart TV is one tremendous viewing experience at this price range. Right from movies to games or enjoying your favorite shows on television, the TV is a neat visuals display with impressive colors, quite satisfying to see. Following is my hands-on review.
Unboxing & First Impressions
The Hisense 75Q6N came in a ginormous but well-packaged box, and I was immediately impressed with the thin, sleek design. The bezels are extremely thin, making the screen look even bigger, and overall build is heavy and premium like.
Mounting it was easy enough. The TV comes with two metal stand feet but I decided to wall-mount it for a cleaner look. Mounting it was easy, and the TV's weight was still in my range for a 75-inch screen.
Picture Quality – Is It Worth the Hype?
Having a QLED (Quantum Dot) TV, I expected vibrant colors and added contrast—and it exceeded those expectations by far!
Colors & Brightness
The colors truly come alive due to Quantum Dot technology. Blues and reds are even more vibrant compared to normal LED TVs, and there's an extremely high level of detail in every scene.
HDR10+ & Dolby Vision are also supported by the TV, which provides HDR content with a much more dynamic picture. Playing 4K HDR movies like Dune or Avatar: The Way of Water was just stunning!
Contrast & Black Levels
While it doesn't approach OLED black levels, the local dimming does work to improve contrast.
Blacks aren't quite as deep as they might be, but are better than some other LED TVs in this price range.
Motion Handling & Gaming Performance
Gaming was checked with a PS5, and the result was smooth and crisp.
The TV does 4K 60Hz, which is fine for casual gaming, but it does not do 120Hz for high-refresh-rate gaming (something to remember if you're an aggressive gamer).
The low input lag created gaming responsive, and the VRR support prevents there from being too much screen tearing.
Sound Quality – Do You Need a Soundbar?
Integrated speakers on the Hisense 75Q6N play fairly well, but I would recommend a soundbar if you want a more enhanced audio experience.
Dolby Atmos support gives a spacious soundstage, but the bass is quite lacking.
Dialogue is good, and for overall viewing, the audio is good enough.
I have included a TCL 2.1 Channel Soundbar, and it made all the difference, especially for action movies and gaming.
Smart Features & OS Performance
Hisense 75Q6N runs on Google TV, which is a welcome upgrade from Hisense TVs earlier, which had VIDAA OS.
The UI is responsive, minimal, and easy to use.
Chromecast built-in makes it simple to cast content from your laptop or phone.
Google Assistant & Alexa are both built in and voice-controlled for ease of use.
App Support:
✅ Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, and more all work well.
✅ Supported by Dolby Vision & HDR content on most streaming platforms.
Connectivity & Ports
Hisense 75Q6N has a respectable number of ports, and plugging in all my devices is easy:
3x HDMI ports (One supports eARC for soundbars)
2x USB ports
Optical Audio Out
Ethernet Port
WiFi & Bluetooth 5.0
My PS5, soundbar, and streaming device all connected without any problem. The WiFi speed was also very stable for bufferless 4K streaming.
What I Liked:
✔ Breathtaking QLED Display – Great brightness, colour & HDR.
✔ Google TV is silky smooth & responsive – More apps & features abound.
✔ Ideal for gaming – Minimal input lag & VRR supported.
✔ Great contrast & local dimming – Black levels are better than standard LED TVs.
✔ Dolby Vision & Atmos – Makes movies look and sound immersive.
What Could Be Improved:
❌ Does not support 120Hz refresh rate – Not ideal for high-frame-rate gaming.
❌ Speakers are good, but not great – A soundbar is recommended.
❌ Blacks aren't OLED-level deep – Local dimming helps, but it's not a true OLED competitor.
Final Verdict – Is It Worth Buying?
If you require a massive 75-inch QLED 4K Smart TV with great picture quality, smooth performance, and smart features, the Hisense 75Q6N is a great buy at its price. It's perfect for movies, gaming, and streaming, and while the onboard speakers are not great, adding a soundbar makes all the difference.
For the price, size, and specs, this is one of the best 75-inch QLED TVs out there in its class.
